I Spayed my 6 and half month old persian kitten today, but how long will take for her recovery? shes sleeping
Today as I got her spayed I never knew that before the operation her complete left side hair needed to be shaved it looks so weird. So I want to get her trimmed completely, I would like to know whether she will gain her original hair length back? or not, if so how long will it take.......PLZ M W8N

It will take 2 weeks to cover the scar, and about 3 months to grow back. If you trim the rest of the hair a little shorter, she won't look that bad. As for the recovery.. she will be sleepy for today, as they gave long acting painkillers for the first 24 hours. Get her to drink some water, cause the sooner she urinates, the faster the anaestesia will get out of her system. She will be sore, but up and running tomorrow.

I commend you for getting her spayed! She will live a longer, healthier life because of it.
Yes, her hair will grow back. I know it's a funny sight to see, though. My cats were fixed long before I got them, so I didn't have experience with shaved hair in that instance. However, a cat I had previously had a lot of health problems, so he was often shaved in spots when prepped for surgery. They do look goofy, but it's ok, it will grow back in time :o)
Her recovery should take a few days, up to a week. She'll be sleepy and groggy for a bit, and could have pain at the incision site for a little while. Just make sure that she has fresh food and water and a good comfortable place to sleep it off. Don't let her be too active for a few days, either. She might tear the stitches. And as someone else said, the litter needs to be different so it doesn't aggravate the incision site. A lot of places use paper shreds or the pellet litter for a little while after spays.

In a couple of days she will be back to her normal self. The hair will grow back the full length, but this may take up to 2 months. Getting it trimmed up now is a good idea. Also, instead of your regular litter you should shred newspaper or toilet paper instead, this will reduce her risk of infection. Just clean the box often, and after about 2-3 days you can go back to your normal litter, she should be healing up by then. Give her lots of love and attention till she gets better!

She will get all her hair back. You do not need to get her hair trimmed if you do not want. Thier hair grows back pretty quick. I have a himalayan and her hair grew back. We never go her trimmed. Although it grew back darker so If you like the light color I do not suggest getting her trimmed.

Just let the hair grow back naturally. There is no reason you need to shave the rest of her body just to make it "look better".
She's been through something stressful already, so just give her some time. Keep those trimmers away. ;)
