gas gauge only reads half full, but i know the tank is full, what's wrong? and how can i fix it??

2004 Chevy TrailBlazer, when i fill the tank up the gas gauge only reads half full, whats wrong with it and how can i fix it?

    Probably need a new fuel sending unit.

    Could be a bad ground and/or to much resistance in the circuit.

    clean the fuel injecter buy a cleaning fuel
