Why am I getting nose bleeds?
Each night for the last month I have awoken to a nose bleed. It isn't a heavy flow but it is bleeding nonetheless. I bought and have been using a humidifier but that doesn't seem to be working. What could be causing this? (Before anyone asks I do not and never have done any drugs.) How can I make it stop?

It depends on how old you are, and your general over-all health.
Fragile capillaries are quite common when you're younger, and you usually outgrow them. If the bleeding is caused by high blood pressure, you need to see a doctor asap.
USE A HUMIDIFIER
If you live in a dry climate use a humidifier year round, in other climates run a humdifier during the winter months when forced heat from your furnace is creating a dry atmosphere (especially at nighttime while you are sleeping).
USE SALINE SPRAY
Saline (salt water) spray for your nose three to four times daily helps reduce drying out of the mucus membranes in your nose and help prevent nose bleeds.
Or even a small amount (just a smear, really ) of Vicks Vaporub can help keep your nose moist at night.
If it keeps up, or starts happeneing at other times of the day, see your doctor. And I know this sounds gross, but avoid picking your nose, or cleaning it with a tissue when you blow - because it irritates the membranes.
I hope this helps

Well are you on any new therapy? Especially for sinuses. A at the same time in the past I used to be on some of the therapy you must squeeze up your nostril for sinuses and it prompted many nostril bleeds. Also within the mountains it would had been prompted by way of the one of a kind altitudes. But while you in which at a usual altitude it could had been very dry air which will purpose the within of your nostril to dry out and crack. Then purpose bleeding. Just determine any therapy you're taking...If any, simply learn the facet results record.

Repeditive nosebleeds can be a sign of high blood pressure. A visit with your primary care physician is in order to rule out any underlying illnesses that may be causing your nosebleeds as well as to check your blood pressure and establish a baseline number in order to keep an eye on it.
If the bleeding become excessive, tilt your head forewards, not backward, pinch the sinuses or apply ice to slow the flow and allow clotting to occur. You may simply have a weakened vein in your sinuses that is irritated at night if you breathe through your nose while you sleep.
It may be environmental and may be a result of an upper respiratory infection (this can include head, throat, and lungs) that hasn't manifested itself in the typical way (runny nose or stuffiness, cough, etc). Regardless, please make an appointment with your PCP to get checked out.
Good luck and peace to you,
Beki
