I'm 50 and I'm going to a 'rock concert'. What should I take?

I have my thermos of tea and several bottles of water. What else should I take with me?

Oh. And I have one of those folding stools. Should I take it with me or do you think one of those nice young people will find me a chair if I get tired?

you're not allowed to bring liquids into most concerts nowadays because they could have alcohol in them. You'll find they sell liquid there. You might discovere a new fangled drink called Smirnoff Ice - it can replace your old port and lemon quite nicely I would have thought. You might want to hang onto your old Barbour or cord coat though as you might want to sit on it if your hips give out. Stay away from the mosh pit.

Nowadays security do not usually allow bottled water in (as it can be used a missile, I think). Last stadium concert I went to everyone had theirs confiscated by security staff.

A pair of binoculars might be useful.

Don't forget a nice tartan blanket to cover your knees and some Viagra in case you get lucky.
