Hot tasty lunch for a 10 and a half month old? Any ideas for something new?

Normally my daughter has defrosted frozen fruit (I buy a bit of every fruit on offer at supermarket fresh, puree most of it, pick a feature which I chop so it gives it a chunkier texture, freeze down) or a vegemite and cheese sandwich. It's very cold today, and I want to give her something warm. Any ideas apart from grilled cheese and veg?

Update:

If I am having a proper lunch she has what I'm having (generally I just have a sandwich though so I give her fruit). She also eats cereal for breakfast, has whatever her dad and I have for dinner unless it's too spicy or processed in which case she has defrosted vegi mash with chicken. She also has snacks during the day, like cookies if fruit for lunch, fruit if she didn't have it at lunch, and lots of formula. So yes, she gets a lot more than just fruit in her diet.

You all read the MONTH part of the question - didn't you?

    try a nice, healthy stew.

You can put carrots, peas, potatoes, etc, and they should be soft enough that they could be mashed for eating.

Also, mashed potatoes are a good idea!

Some soup in a thermos, hot cocoa in a thermos, Some leftover lasagna or pasta or something like that with an icy-hot pack whoich you put in the microwave then in the lunch box. Good luck!!

    Have you tried spaghetti?

Little ones love picking up the (worms?) pasta. The sauce is messy and if you put meat in the sauce, she can pick it up with her fingers also. I have great photos of mine in their highchairs with red and smiling faces!
