However, it is left-wing to be blind to the fact that such intrusion and surveillance was put into effect in 1979 by Executive Order 12139 from Jimmy Carter and further expanded in 1995 by Executive Order 12949 from Bill Clinton. It is left wing to complain about Bush using power that was given to the President by previous Democrat Presidents.
