Brick-mold and Siding?

I just ordered new windows and I forsee a problem. My siding (Canexel) is 3/4 " thick when installed. All J-mold and corner pieces have a one inch tolerance to accept this thickness. I am afraid my Brickmold is not thick enough to allow the siding to fit snug inside the vinyl groove. Do these grooves come in different widths? My only other option would be to use j-mold next to the vinyl window and caulk inbetween the j-mold and vinyl window. This is not the look I was after. Any window experts out there?

There should be no brick mold on this window. As you state, it is a vinyl window. 99% of vinyl windows manufactured today are designed with vinyl siding in mind. You state you are using J channel so I assume you are using vinyl siding. I built homes for 17 years and am unsure of where you are getting brick mold on a vinyl window.

In the event that I have missed something obvious, I will further explain that all of your doors are highly likely to have brick mold. Almost all doors have brickmold, irregardless of the type of siding. This means that the J channel will sit against the brick mold. Again, if in fact I am missing the obvious, putting the J channel against the brick mold that '?is?' residing around your vinyl windows will simply make the home look more uniform.
