    Honestly...

Pyle is one of the worst brands on the market.

The box is probably made of MDF, which swells and seperates when exposed to moisture.

I have never heard bandpass boxes in open air applications. I have installed both sealed and ported subs in boats in the past, and have found that sealed boxes sound better in open air applications.

I would look into the powered subs in plastic molded enclosures. They do make marine audio products with coated, moisture proof circuit boards.
