Which Democratic Presidential Candidate said the war or terror was not real?

Was it Edwards that said the war or terror was not real?

Considering the FBI broke up a Terrorist Plot to blow up JFK airport, do you think he may change his tune?

Get real, they want us all dead. Fight them overthere or here, I know my choice, do you know yours?

Yes John Edwards (dubed the brek girl by the New York times) said the war on terror is nothing more then a slogan on a bumper sticker or words close to that. I hope he hangs around awhile he is funny did you happen to catch that video of him combing and re-combing his hair before the 2nd debate? Too funny! He is just so pretty he deserves to be pres. no matter what he thinks lol Concerning the plot to blow up JFK airport I am waiting to see how fast lawyers from the ACLU run to their sides to represent them against the evil U.S.A. I mean they are just misunderstood mid evil minded poor folks reacting to the oppresion put on them by the evil American empire right? You will hear that argument as well as Bush was behind the JFK four to devert peoples attention from Iraq or some such bs. Watch and see!

Talk about taking things out of content what he said was the "War on Terror" is a bumper sticker. and he is right because calling it that we can label anything as terror and their is no way to set benchmarks for success.

We know the terrorist who attacked us on 9-11 El Quida. So why not call it the War on El Quidia. And then wage war on them. Want to know why the Kennedy airport thing happened today? Because Osma Bin landen is still out there. why is he still out there? Because we have a bumper sticker instead of the war on Bin Landen.

But of course if we called it the war on El Quida or the war on Bin landen we would not have been able to invade Iraq

BTW as a New Yorker please stop saying that the FBI broke this up. The FBI and Homeland security could not find my butt. If they were really interested in helping New York fight terror we would get more money from them then Wyoming does, but Wyoming is a red state and the only time the Right even looks at New York is when we are attacked or almost attacked. THANK GOD we have the NYPD to foil terrorism. And that is who stopped this attack. The right wing media can say FBI till they are blue in the face, New yorker know that once again we owe it to the men and women of the New York City Police Department

One flaw in your logic chief. According to you, since we ARE fighting them over there, they shouldnt be here, and yet they are.

Edwards said the war on terror was "a bumper sticker" because its just a phrase intended to invoke emotion. Terror is an emotion. You cant fight a war on an emotion. Terrorism is a tactic, you cant fight a war against a tactic either.

The entire terrorism issue can and should be addressed by the intelligence services of various countries around the globe. You cant fight terrorism with an army. Terrorists operate in small groups, they dont fight with armies. That was the point Edwards was trying to make.

The reason these people resort to terrorism to make their points is because if they fought with an army, they would lose. Theyre a very small bunch of fanatics who want to attack us.Their whole strategy was to provoke us, lure us into a war which they could then say was a war against Muslims and get more Muslims to support them. Bush has fallen right into the trap by saying its "a battle for civilization". Thats ridiculous. But thats what Bin Laden wants. He wants the people in the Muslim countries to feel like the USA is attacking them, so more people will join him!! We've walked right into the trap they set, and now I honestly dont know if we'll be able to get out of it.

I believe he means the military conflict in Iraq and the ideology of attacking any country that harbors terrorists. I think he is aware we have to be mindful of attacks and that sometimes it will be necessary to bomb training camps, etc. Terrorists are not of any specific nationality or even necessarily part of any organized group. How do you declare a war on that? Is that like declaring a "war on drugs".

I think declaring a "war on terror" only made matters much worse and made terrorism a goal to many more people than would have otherwise had such aspirations. Saying that fighting them over there will keep them out of here is only rhetoric to promote support for the conflict in Iraq. It doesn't work that way as was proven today.

Edwards never said it wasn't real. He said "war on terror" was a stupid name for it, an empty slogan.

As for fighting them there or here, that's stupid. They will come over here no matter where we try to fight them. They'll just get on a plane. We can't stop them with out military no matter how we try. That's WHY they are terrorists!

Basically we went to war against a tiny gang of religious fanatics. It's about the same as going to war with the LA Crips street gang. We've spent hundreds of billions of dollars that could have built schools or been used for hurricane relief or dozens of other worthy uses. NOW it's a war because we've presented ourselves to a region full of people who hates us. Because Bush is so limited as a president we've let relations with real potential enemies stagnate - namely Russia and China. The world is a far more dangerous place for us and we are much weaker than we ever have been because of shipping whole industries and jobs off shore. We are in decline. Smarter countries will soon be the masters of the world.

communicate approximately taking issues out of content cloth what he reported replaced into the "conflict on Terror" is a bumper sticky label. and he's stable because of the fact calling it that we are able to label something as terror and their is not any thank you to set benchmarks for fulfillment. all of us recognize the terrorist who attacked us on 9-11 El Quida. So why no longer call it the conflict on El Quidia. and then salary conflict on them. decide directly to recognize why the Kennedy airport element befell right this moment? because of the fact Osma Bin landen remains available. why is he nevertheless available? because of the fact we've a bumper sticky label truly of the conflict on Bin Landen. yet of direction if we known because it the conflict on El Quida or the conflict on Bin landen we would not have been able to invade Iraq BTW as a clean Yorker please provide up asserting that the FBI broke this up. The FBI and fatherland protection ought to no longer locate my butt. in the event that they have been truly attracted to assisting long island combat terror we'd get additional funds from them then Wyoming does, yet Wyoming is a purple state and the only time the perfect even looks at long island is as quickly as we are attacked or exceedingly much attacked. THANK GOD we've the NYPD to foil terrorism. and that's who stopped this attack. the perfect wing media can say FBI until at last they are blue interior the face, New yorker recognize that when returned we owe it to the adult women and men of the long island city Police branch

A war is a conflict between two states. The war on communsim=not a war. The war on poverty=not a war. The war on drugs=not a war. The war on terror=not a war. Get it?
