Hip-hop class... how many calories would I burn in a 1 hr class?
Joining a hip-hop class today ... how many calories would I burn in a 1 hr class? It is a good hip hop dance class with fast movements and it is kind of warm in the room. Can this help me lose weight or inches? How many calories would I burn doing the class for 1 hr. I am a 16 year old female. Thank you!

maybe 100 if you are sweating alot and have your heart rate up

it would be equivalent to high impact or moderate impact cardio/aerobics; its a great workout and a lot of fun; i'm not sure how many calories you yourself would burn as everyone is typically different; but with diet modification and this class you should see i would think at least 1/2 a pound to as much as 2 lbs a week; is this class once a week? for added benefits if it is just once a week you should try and do the movements when you get home as well. you will loose both body fat and inches while building lean muscle in your legs, glutes, and stomach.

Hmm...I'm 5'6' and weigh around 160, and don't look like that. I think what you're seeing is a lot of hanging skin, and not fat. To tone that you need to do weight exercises and crunches, included in a overall cardio workout. If you've lost 15 pounds, youre on the right track, but eventually dieting without exercise just won't work and you won't lose anymore weight.

my gosh.. I did hip hop dancing and yes you burn a ton of calories.. and your body gets very sore but in shape and burns fat so yes by losing weight. I have no idea how many.. but a lot.. dancing is a great exercise working on a ton of muscles.. good luck I hope you enjoy it.
