US Citizens - If you could live anywhere else in the world where would that be?

I'd like to know about places you've visited or know something about in regards to living there and not just visiting.

I would live in the Netherlands, probably somewhere near Amsterdam. (No, I am not a pot smoker or a prostitute!) Their culture is so laid back. In general, they are pretty accepting of anyone. I love the narrow streets, the rivers running through the city, the bikes everywhere. I miss the stone houses, the food, the music. It also helps that so many of them are tall, I fit in well....I'm 5'10"!

I am American and I live in Israel. I'm not Jewish, I did not make aliyah or anything like that. I study the Middle East, so I live there!

At first it was difficult and frustrating and I didn't like it much. Now it has been more than a year and I am now planning to stay one to two more years, because I have really started to like being there!

Overall, living abroad has its ups and downs, but I am definitely enjoying the experience more than disliking it these days!

I would definately want to live in Paris, France. Their culture is very friendly and i highly recommend their food. Every restaurant i went to was amazing even though it's more expensive (but it's worth it).
