Why doesn't Ann Coulter get fired?

She makes headlines and thus, money. Plus, the news and media are far more conservative than conservatives say it is.

Coulter is selling books...she is so completely ego-maniacal that she will say anything to get attention...I'm afraid John Edwards is falling behind and possibly using her diatribe against Elizabeth Edwards to bolster his image...politics can be so crazy and motives behind politicians actions are not always clear...where is Al Gore when we need him?

She's an independent commentator. Who exactly is supposed to fire her? Does she say a lot of outrageous things? Yes, no doubt. However, she is merely a talking head looking to stir the pot. Is she any worse than Bill Maher? No.

Her shock value and the attention she gets feeds her popularity even if it's negative popularity. People like her exhibit the exact Un-American hate fueled mentality of this day and age. Now I don't mean all but just the psychotic anti-peace warmongers.

Liberals still only hear what they what they want to. As in so many instances her statement was twisted to feed the left mania for trash. Unlike Imus Coulter keeps her rhetoric along conservative lines and that irks those that can only accept lib positions.

That's her job. And judging by all the post about her she's doing a damn good job. You can't name anyone who says nice things about people. Nancy Grace is another one who knows how to stir up controversy. If you think about it Nancy Grace was the one who started the arguing with a guest type of interview.

She doesn't get fired because there are people who believe the crap she says

Poor baby. Exactly who would fire her? She's a freelance columnist/author, stupid, she's self employed, and she makes money for her publishers.

she is paid to be a derisive, divisive, controversial and irrational b*tch. on those terms, she's doing a great job.

She's a cartoon. Cartoons don't get fired.
