why gas prices fall right before elections in the US?

Gas prices have begun their predictable fall prior to November's elections. Even though Russia is bombing Georgia right in the heart of oil and pipeline country. If an election weren't on the horizon, this type of "uncertainty" would cause gas prices to soar.

I think it is pretty obvious that the people who control the gas/oil prices don't want voters to be thinking about gas prices when they vote.

Never forget that Big Oil and the GOP have picked our pockets! They are betting that we have no long term memories!

lunatic fringe denies global warming? Even McCain admits that we MUST act now to slow the emissions of greenhouse gases. I think the problem is that the deniers have been denying global warming for so long it has become an issue of pride for them. Global Warming responsible or at least partially responsible for the current rash of tornadoes, floods, and fires? If they had not lied, we would have begun reducing green house gas emissions 6 years ago! They should be made to pay for the damages their actions have caused.

Who still think Bush is doing a good job? They have to know more Americans have died in Iraq than on 9/11, gas prices are at record highs as are oil company profits, salaries are at all time lows (except for CEO's)... There is simply no concievable way that someone in touch with reality can continue to support the Bush administration!

At a time when Bush's friend Wolfowitz is embroiled in a scandal at the World Bank, we are losing a was Bush lied to us to start and that is bleeding the taxpayers dry, Fox News is covering Anna Nicole Smith and other non stories. It is time to take a stand against the liars at Fox.
