Shout seems to work well on baby food stains. I think I would spray it on and let it soak in good, then wash it on the gentle cycle. If that doesn't take the stain out, try Dawn dishwashing liquid. That stuff seems to take out food stains as well as any pre-treating product. Good luck!

hopefully she blotted up the carrot puree well (and didn't rub!), and hasn't put it in the dryer.

I would suggest she soak it in the tub with Oxy in cold water. She may need to use a little warm water to initially dissolve the powder, but once dissolved, add cold water and add the quilt. It may be a long soaking...like overnight or even for a day or two...or a soaking with a stronger concentration of Oxy and add some baby-detergent (Dreft, Baby All, etc.) because of the enzymes in baby-detergent they contain a bit more cleaning power than your average Tide, All, Cheer, etc., and break up baby-related stains better (pee, poop, vomit, food stains, odors, etc.). Once the stain has disappeared, she should wash it in cold with the baby detergent and add some Oxy to the wash to help make sure it's all out.

    Good luck!

Source(s): I have used this tactic on many types of stains for my son...stains that I could and could not identify! :) I also used it for stains like red wine, pet vomit, blood, with great success.

Take some paper towling and blot most of it off.Take a little tiny bit of laundry soap and water and apply that or use the tide to go pen.Good Luck.

    Baby Wipe Magic

As silly as it sounds, baby wipes are a great way of removing stains and are also great for cleaning in general. They pretty much can remove anything!

    Good Luck! =)
