What are some things I have to do while visiting Philadelphia?

I'm looking for some interesting things to do in Philly? Where can I find some local bars or local food sources that are a must see?

The Mutter Museum should not be confused with the Mummer Museum. Although they are both great things to check out in Philly!

For food, I always love going to Monk's Cafe. They have tons of different beers, and their fries with bourbon mayonnaise are the best. Ludwig's Garten has great German food and atmosphere. And yeah, a cheesesteak is a must. Where to get the best is a hot topic of debate, though...

Oh, and though it looks sketchy, if you see someone selling soft pretzels from a shopping cart, get one!

  • Go see a Phillies' Game!!! There are many awesome things to do. You can get some sweet food, awesome beer, and just watch the best team in the world. If that is not your style, go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. There are some great paintings there and is located in the heart of Downtown Philly. Also try the Mutter Museum. It is one of my favorite things to go to on the weekends. There are a lot of cool and interesting things. From a 75 foot colon, to a plaster cast of Siamese twins. It's cool!! Or if you don't like those things, try Independence Hall, go see where the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution. Also, go by JFK plaza and see LOVE structure, I love walkin' by it almost everyday!

But there's one place you must see and that is what makes my city what it is. The Liberty Bell is a definite must see!!! So when your in the City of Brotherly Love, remember to have a good time and enjoy!

Philly Art Museum (be cheesy and run up the front steps like Rocky!)

    Franklin Institute (science)

Love Park (where the LOVE staute is)

Catch a Phillies game (Team not good , but the ballpark rocks!)

    Reading Terminal Market

Constitution Hall, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Old City

South Philly - Italian Market. Also take the ultimate cheesesteak challenge... who is better? Pat's or Geno's?

    Don't get shot!

Visit the Liberty Bell and Constitution Hall and definitely have an original Philly Cheese Steak.

You MUST go to Tony Luke's on Front and Oregon. Best place to get a good sandwich or cheesesteak. You won't regret it. All of the other places people tell you to go are just tourist attractions, they are not really that good.

If you get to a Phillies game Citizens Bank Park is nice. There is a bar McFadden's that is connected is nice too. But you don't have to go to the game to go there.

Obviously if your a history buff there is plenty for you to see in Center City.

Philadelphia is an somewhat thrilling city and there are a selection of of belongings you ought to do! you ought to bypass to dave and buster's, Franklin turbines mall or Plymouth assembly mall (there is oftentimes some difficulty relaxing indoors the mall), or you ought to bypass to Penn's landing.
