Blue Pointe Restaurant located at Warren Ave. E. and Cadieux Road.
It's within Detroit City Limits and away from Downtown.
It's also owned by Joe Muer's (the former owner of a upscale Seafood Establishment in Detroit) distant cousin David Muer's, who brought some of the recipe from their old restaurant to Blue Pointe.

One of my favorites is Boodles Restaurant in Madison Heights on 11 Mile and I-75... they have a lobster or crab leg dinner for $20-25 every day and it's fresh and awesome.
Tom's Oyster Bar in Royal Oak (and they have others) has some of the best raw seafood and sushi in the area. I just had an oyster po' boy for lunch there the other day and it was delicious.
Fishbones in Greektown is a decent place as well, but the seafood is not as good- the ambiance, live entertainment on weekend nights, and closeness to the casino and sports stadium make it worth the trip.

McCormick & Schmit in Troy, by the Somerset MAll, (near Saks 5th Avenue), wins for freshness and ambience.

Is Chuck Mure's still open? Sindbad's is good, and I believe Motor City Casino still has a GREAT seafood buffet on Fridays.
