Why does my cat licks the walls..?

Its only a wild guess but your cat may be looking for additional salt in it's diet.

Many animals will lick sweat off a persons body in an attempt to obtain the salt contained within the sweat.

Likewise I have seen many animals lick walls because the bricks and cement contain salts.

I wouldnt make a big deal of it as constantly chastising her will only serve to reinforce the behaviour... as in if I lick the walls, my owner gives me attention.

Try to re-focus her attention away from the walls using food treats initially before moving onto toys or cuddles etc.

Cat Wallpaper For Walls

I wouldn't let her lick the wall paper. Ask your vet.

My dog did that and it was because she had a bad tooth ache and licking the wall helped her releive the pain I guess, but thats what it was.

Probably the same reason why mine licks plastic bags. Maybe they like the texture?

maybe the cat likes the way it Tate's....or it might be that there might be something that got spill in the wall before the wallpaper was put on and the cat might be smelling that

Mine licks everything... walls, furniture, books, chair legs, my legs.. she licks it all. I never really figured that one out...

It mainly means that she has an allergy problem or that she doesnt like the way her cat food taste try changing it

she may like a way it tastes
