If Americans hate illegals so much, then y do they keep hiring them & patronize businesses that hire them?

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/960923/...

Ninety years after Upton Sinclair published his groundbreaking expose of the nation's meatpacking industry, illegal immigrants are flocking to the United States to take the dangerous, low-paying jobs most Americans won't. The difference between now and then: Now there's a system that keeps the illegals coming and the industry humming--and the plants have come to rely on it.

I don't hate anyone so, that puts the lie to your statement of americans hating illegals. That being said, I am against allowing illegal immigrants into the country. Why you ask? Because they are here illegally. I am all for legal immigration but, if there is a law on the books that says what they are doing is illegal then that law ought to be enforced. Simple as that.

There should be a grass-roots national boycott of meat products because of this unnecessary hiring of illegal immigrants in the meat packing plants.. Red meat isn't that healthy anyway. I can't remember the last time I ate red meat.

There are many citizens who would do this work if they knew where the jobs were. They generally are paid $2 per hour more than an illegal immigrant. Not much when you consider the average ILLEGAL immigrant costs the taxpayers (not the businesses) $10,000 annually for a variety of reasons. Also, it wouldn't take much effort by industrial engineers to make the work safer. Or to reduce the long hours by implementing job-sharing with reduced benefits.

Americans(real Americans) don't hate illegal aliens, we hate the acts that they commit , and the first one is crossing our borders and entering illegally. The answer to your next question is they take the jobs and lower the wages, so that the legal American can't compete or live when the wages they work for are established. Let's say a employer that normally pays $25 hr for a dangerous job and a illegal will do the same job for $5-7 hr, how can a legal citizen compete and live with those wages? He or she can't!The only one that benefits is the employer, and he's just as much or more the criminal as the illegal alien. You see it's a low paying job that Americans won't do, it's wages that are being taken by illegals that enter , and start a domino effect of crime beginning with entering and then forging or buying false documents. The businesses that hire these illegals need to have their licenses taken away from them and the bosses jailed. It's a slap in the face to all those around the world whom are waiting in line patiently to enter the USA legally by means of filling out paperwork, paying for filings and waiting their turn to come to America legally.

Many American people are demanding an end to illegals in this country. These are main stream, every day people. Many American people are writing and calling their government representatives. They are not using the liberal tactics of raising hell, going to the media, hiring lawyers, and making a lot of noise. They are working within the system to stop this invasion. The problem is the greedy business people, the elites, and the bought and paid for politicians looking for votes. There is no doubt, the whiny activists and leftists would do this differently if it were an issue they cared about. But the majority just aren't hell raisers.

You are assuming that those who hire them actually care about America or Americans (the working Americans that is)

Truth is they don't. They only care about maximizing their profits and putting more money into their pockets.

At one time....those meat packing places paid a decent wage. But, the businesses realized that they could get away with hiring those here illegally for a fraction of the cost.

There is a HUGE difference between those that hire illegals, and those that are the working men and women of this country.

    Americans don't hate illegals.

The problem- liberals have created and support a way-of-life to exploit poor and needy people; liberals want illegals to have legal status, to be in a position to be dependant on government and increase the numbers of those taking from society, instead of contributing to society. The minorities who have had long-term liberal conditioning will not do the work that illegals do, because it's easier to live off of government than to pull your own weight.

Liberals are trying to break the backs of our economy so that it will be easier to rebuild with socialism. Gaining ten million new democrats over night, will give liberals the edge to bring down our way of life.

Your right about that Bro'. We have the same problem here in the country I live in. The government recently estimated we have between 500,000 and 600,000 illegals here from the USA alone, not to mention all the illegals from central and south America. They have no idea how many Iraqis and Iranians are here also, of course they are hoping the make their way north soon.

You have a great point. It seems that the people that hire them are the ones that complain the most. What a catch 22.

Source(s): I don't hate illegals I hate that they are coming into our country illegally. If they were being screened and coming in legally then that is one thing.

Oh, so now it's "dangerous, low-paying jobs". Very interesting how the pro-illegal groups continue to manipulate the words to elicit sympathy for illegals.

But, to answer you question, however false your underlying premises may be.

    a. I don't hate illegals, I just don't want them entering my country illegally.

    b. I don't hire illegals.

    c. I don't patronize, nor support, companies that hire illegals.

    Next question.

I live in a city that is now 98% Hispanic. You tell me where I should go to shop. Surrounding cities also have the majority of Hispanics. We have been invaded.
