Is a urinary tract infection (feline) contagious?

My cat has a urinary tract infection. are other cats in the home at risk of this infection?

    No, just like with human U.T.Is it's non-communicable.

    No it's not contagious, but it can be very painful and needs to be treated immediately. The vet will do a urinalysis to determine if there are any bacteria, crystals, stones, etc. and will then determine the best route to cure your kitty's issue. If left untreated your kitty can become blocked and actually die from the lack of being able to relieve himself (the build up in its bladder can become toxic if left for too long).     I don't think so. One of my cats had this and the other one is just fine. However, my vet recommended giving the cats distilled water from now on. Apparently some of the minerals in ordinary water can help lead to an infection.

    Absolutely not. Your other cats are just fine. Please make sure to treat your cat to help him/her overcome this UTI, and all your cats can be switched to a UTI-preventative diet, without harm.

    Definitely not.The other cats would not get it even if they use the same litter.
