Does it Help or Hurt to have a Rep in Polls & Surveys?

I have not done any surveys or polls on q and a. However, I have worked for an oppinion company and there was always something at stake for the oppinion makers. In this case especially sometimes when you ask who makes the best shingles. No reason is given why the shingles are good. So sometimes people respond to questions like that to promote there own company. But because I have knowledge on shingles, I know who is sporting for there own reasons. When I ask who makes the best shingles I usually ask for five companies so I can research them.

Are polls biased yes they can be. Q and A is good however because all answers are random and you can get all points of view. It is better sometimes to see all of the points of view then none at all. But a reputation in Polls and Surveys can be good when companies take honest surveys.

Remember about things sometimes there is a quick answer that is true in most cases then years later there is another answer.

If you have a rep in Polls and Surveys then sometimes these people are better at doing the surveys.

It has both pros and cons having a rep in polls & survey.

I am a sincere fan of yours when you answer about emotions and relationship issues,i adore it because there is wisdom of your thoughts conveyed.

When there is a wise suggestion as an answer it does help and give an insight to the querier.

When silly and idiotic suggestions are replied as an answer it does hurt making either the querier feel foolish about the replier or themselves.

There are 3 Rep..........Good Rep....Bad Rep..........Neutral Rep.

I think your question sounds that your in doubts ,it just depends on the majority of your fans,if you have the most of fans then that one is ''the best''!!!

Some of the best poll & survey to my knowledge are AOL,MSN,BBC,

CNN,ABOUT.COM,AMAZON,

TRAVEL,HOTELS,

GLOBAL SURVEY etc.......................

There are many more but as to predict every individual have their choice and I find Aol and BBC the best!!!

In all these months I had been advocating enlisting the help of our very famous Yarnlady (Janet) in Yahoo! Answers Team by making her some kind of 'watchdog' on morality or ethics etc.

Now that you have asked for Name of the user who could possibly Represent us in Polls & Surveys, I would like to recommend Yarnlady (Janet) as 'best' choice as per my perception.

To Help or to Hurt depends on how one perceives it. There are no really "Best" Reps.

well, most reps here are not really bad ones, ...and it's not like P&S people think about that kind of stuff really...if a particular avatar happens to stand out...then we will notice....thats mostly it. they might have the most craziest anwsers or questions (santa clause always makes me laugh) or they might have the most points (go find out yourself if you don't know who). but no one seems to be making too much trouble here.

Honestly, the people who have a reputation in my opinion are those who are here to cause trouble (Skinhead Charlie, Lips, etc.) Nobody stands out particularly as being "best", as most* people in P&S don't put much thought into their answers. That's not to say they're bad people, and I'm guilty of that myself from time to time, but it doesn't make for a good situation to pick out any individuals as "best".

I heard somebody using my name, so I had to come on over. I usually don't even look in on P & S, but I certainly would like to have a rep for being fair and balanced. Hee, hee, hee.

It helps to have a reputation, because once someone adds you as a contact, they will see your questions and answer them, and you will see theirs and answer them. I don't often ask Polls & Surveys questions, but I enjoy answering them.

Different time zones and peoples schedules has people who visit Q&A to kinda chat and they have their "heros". I am usually not on this late so I don't know what this time zone hero is.

But being popular seems to draw the people who want nothing else to do but try to have you taken down by yahoo so I don't like to be popular.

Ron Paul. He manages to get the ultra right and left. People in the middle have more important things to do that watch out for their liberties.
