Why does my count of Best answers (in Engineering, alone), disagree with your count?

Question

My count of best answers for the category of Engineering is about 10 more than your count as posted in the top-10 list (I am in the top-10 answerers for the Engineering category).  Are you only counting certain best answers, such as ones where there was more than one answer (not ones where I was the only answer)?  Do you only count best answers if the asker chooses it as best?  Is there any other criteria we don't know about?  Or... did you just count wrong?

Yes, the top 10 list on any given category updates itself once every 24 hours, and sometimes it is not accurate.  Your profile stays updated every second of the day.  After the clock strikes midnight, try looking at the leaderboard again.

NOTE:  also, it is not the total # of best answers you have; it is the total # of best answers IN THAT CATEGORY

Well I think if you don't want to lose your count, you have to be always active. I mean you have to answer questions every time you had any time!

i have no idea what count you are refering to, that was my first  ? ever posted , i am new to all of this groups stuff, but so far its pretty cool to use, i am thankfull for each and everyones reply, jeff gibson, sparkelcrete@yahoo.com
