So.... I've still got that eye twitch.... 2 weeks now.... how could I get rid of it?!?!?
I tried massaging it. I'm not tired or stressed out. I had my prescription checked and it is fine.
What else??
thanks so far for you suggestions!
no, I don't smoke, although I have been asked that by other people, too....

Have you tried a muscle relaxer or even just a war compress over your eye? Also, I know it's next to impossible to do, but try not to focus on it. Sometimes, not thinking about it will make your muscle relax, and the twitch will stop. Also, try eating a banana or drinking orange juice. Perhaps you're potassium is low (it's a long shot, but at this point, could it hurt to try?).
If all else fails, you could go to the doctor.
Hope you're eye stops twitching soon!

Blepharospasm is an involuntary twitching of the muscles in your eyelid that is usually caused by stress or fatigue. This is a common condition that tends to recur every so often, usually in the same eye and the same area of the eyelid. The twitching may feel obvious to you;
A good night’s sleep is the easiest way to correct the problem.
Do you wear make up as this can result in nerve damage or irritation
You could be suffering stress due to the continued twitch
If it continues, see your optometrist to check for infections or disease if there is nothing found then the only treatment could be surgery to release the pressure that could be pressing on to the nerve or remove the nerve , which can then lead to eye lid droop

It can vary.....you may not feel tired, but your eye may be twitching cause you may have not had enough or adequate sleep that your body needs. Try this.....go to bed at least an hour earlier than your norm for about 1 week; if no change call your fam doctor.

I had that once! And yeah, I think that it lasted for weeks. Not super frequent, just every once in awhile. But enough to get me worried.
I did nothing, because that's what I always do. It went away on its own, after awhile. I dunno, caffeine overdose, maybe?
I would give it another little while, and then maybe a doctor's appointment wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Nothing to get too worked up about though - I think it's just something that seems to happen a few times in everyone's lives.

do you smoke? I only ask because I heard smoking to much can cause that.. well that's what the eye doctor told me because I smoke. But I have get the eye twitching for spurts here and there but it normally just goes away on its own.

Has it been constant, because it happens off and on to me and there is nothing that i no of that you can do but just try to relax, do something that you enjoy and lay down in dim lighting and watch tv, it might work???

I know how you feel. I had the same problem. It finally stopped by itself. I did drink lots of herbal Chamomile Tea. I have no idea if this made it stop. Try it and see.
