Can you help me think of a theme title?

I am getting married in a year. I was brainstorming on theme ideas and came up with "The Gift of Love." I like but don't love it.

I plan to use gift boxes as my decor and favors. I am also going to have the cake resemble a stack of gift boxes.

I need help thinking of a catchy and nice slogan/title/saying....help please

THANKS

Update:

I want a theme because it is my wedding and I can do what I want. If you have a problem with weddings having theme then keep it moving and don't respond. You are not helping with the planning nor attending. Keep it moving haters!

Why do you need a theme title? This isn't a book, it's your wedding! The "theme title" is ___ and ___'s wedding.

Edit~~ Absolutely, you can do whatever you want for your wedding. HOWEVER, going over the top for a theme can take away the focus from the REAL theme of the day, which is your love for each other.

I got married last year, two days before Christmas, so (surprise surprise), our wedding had something of a Christmas theme. The church was already decorated with poinsettias, lights, and two Christmas trees, and the reception hall we used was already decorated with a 15-foot Christmas tree and huge wreaths, so it made sense to have our colors and decorations match the theme that was already there. Our cake also looked like a stack of presents with a huge red bow on top. The point is, people got the whole Christmas theme without us having to say, "By the way, our theme is "Christmas is a season of love" or something... If your theme is well done, it's overkill to TELL people what the theme is. They should be able to figure out themselves that the day celebrating you also happens to have a subtle theme.

I agree with greeneyes. A wedding is what it is. A wedding. There is no "title". Besides, themes are for parties, not sacred ceremonies. I'm sure you don't want your big day to sound like a high school prom. You can do the whole gift box thing, but leave it at that.

EDIT: You're right. It IS you wedding. And you CAN do what you want. But what you must realize is, the people (like me) who told you the "slogan" thing is too much are just trying to help. We don't want your big day to be tacky and going with a slogan for it is exactly what you're doing. It really is going to look like a high school prom if you have your "slogan" printed on banners, napkins, etc. People nowadays are taking "themed" weddings over board. I once saw a girl on here who wanted a "hunting theme" at her wedding complete with camo vests! You can still have the wedding themed as love being a "gift", just tone it down and leave it at the cake and the little gift boxes and what-not. You don't want to TELL people what the theme is. Have them figure it out for themselves.

For my wedding I had a similar theme with the gift boxes. But inside my boxes i gave hersey kisses as the favors. So i called it "Hugs and Kisses from Genieve and Nigel".

Depending on the favors or the decor, you can come up with a appropiate name. "Ribbons of Love".

There is a poem called Little Box of Love

A little box of love I give to you today.

    Where ever you may go,

    carry it along your way!

    or

Love is an object in an empty Box

"This is a very special gift

    That you can never see

    The reason that it's special

It's just for you from me

    Whenever you are lonely

    Or when you're feeling blue

You only have to hold this

gift and know I think of you

    You never can unwrap it

    Please leave the ribbon tied

Just hold this box close to your heart

    It's filled with love inside

Like the gift box idea, very cute. I agree though that you don't need to name your wedding, it's not a movie. Where do you plan on putting this 'slogan'? On banners? the invitations? napkins? It would be odd to have it on any of them, and unnecessary. I would just stick with what you are doing, and don't worry about 'naming' it other than what it is - your wedding.

I understand that you want to have a theme, but you can have the gift box motif without having a title for it. It's really hard to have a titled wedding without it becoming really cheesy. My advice would be to go all out with your gift box theme (or as far out as you want!) and skip the title.

slogan/title/saying? what is this prom? you don't need a formal saying to have a theme running through your wedding, you just need a vision of what you want to incorporate in the day. if you know you want gift boxes for favors, that's fine. you don't have to name it. i think that having a cutesy slogan on the program or on some banner or something looks more cheesy than classy and sophisticated. keep the theme in your head, use it to focus on the overall look of the wedding, and to help guide your wedding planner.

now, if you're looking for a cutesy theme to have in your mind to help guide you or something, use: the past is forgotten, the future is uncertain, but the present (ahh, see, play on words) is a gift.
