How to kill a 97 Honda civic ex Engine?
Any ideas, on how to kill a honda civic ex engine and have some fun. I revvved the crap out of it, for 7-8 minutes straight, and nothing happened, except ran out of gas. Started right back up, after fill up,
There is no oil, in it only water in oil pan, but still runs, and looks like it would take a long time to kill.

Sounds strangely familiar to a recurring dream I have....blowing up import motors for fun.
There's a ton of interesting ways to send it on it's way. You need to decide if you want catastrophic failure at idle or while the vehicle is moving. I'd imagine you'd rather do it while sitting still and avoid any problems on the road and a long walk home.
If you want to go for an elongated meltdown drain it down to about a quart of oil. Rev it up to near redline and within several minutes you'll hear the friction, a few more minutes and it should stop dead in it's tracks.
You could also drain the coolant and let the head crack...this would produce some pretty interesting effects (lots of steam).
Dropping needle bearings into the intake would produce some really catastrophic failure pretty quickly....along with a vast array of interesting sounds.
The options are limitless really. It would be more fun to destroy while driving. Drop it into first gear and run it WOT (wide open throttle) for a few minutes, it will most likely throw a rod...maybe even put a dent in the hood. The stress on the motor while in gear will give it that extra oomph it needs to fail.
Good luck...have fun and be safe!

Honda 4 life is right. The D16Y8 is almost indestructible and it has a VTEC head. No oil will kill any engine eventually. However the sugar in the gas tank isn't recommended. Then your gas tank and fuel lines will need to be cleaned or replaced before installing a new engine- not worth it.

Find a big empty parking lot get going as fast as you can and slam it into 1st gear. Most likely you will find a nice large hole in the side of your engine after this.
We used to jump my friends car in high school dukes of hazard style. It still ran but we bent the frame pretty good. We also got sand and water (made a trip into Lake Michigan) in the engine accidently once again it still ran but it didnt do it any good.

Just run it without oil and drain the water. The water is actually cooling the bearings. Drain the engine coolant as well. It will definitely will seize.

try racing another car. like....go as fast as the car will go and then drop it into 1st gear. your rods will punch thru the block. it'll be sweet. otherwise i'd drain the gas and see what assortment of things you can get the car to run on (ie. paint thinner, alcohol, etc). have fun putting that honda to rest.

drain all the oil then rev the engine. also, put some stuff in the gasoline tank.
better yet, power hose your whole engine!

drain oil and run it. or better yet, if you have access get brake lathe shavings and drop a big handful in the oil filler hole. enjoy!

dude...just go about 85 and keep it one third for a long time...but make suer youre over-reving or hitting red line for a long time...that should work.....or.......no oil nor water and do what i just said.....or .....drive it on second till the car revs so much that the rods will come out of the hood...well idk if you want that...but it sure its fun
