Just yes or no, regardless of what you think of him, do you think Jesus of Nazareth existed?
No sermonizing from either side, please.
I'm posting a similar question in the History section, just to get differing opinions.
Everyone's getting thumbs up from me because I just asked for personal opinions. Sorry about the thumbs down fairy, he likes to follow me.

Of course. They're proving some of the miracles followed universal principles. There are no miracles without rules, just like physics, where still learning how it all works and will be forever. No one can actually read the material and doubt the story and as miracles are laid aside there will be other objections. As a matter of fact the left brain's full time job is asking questions and the right hemisphere exists to answer them. We are left brained in the West so what do you expect? Questions, questions, questions and Yahoo Answers. As far as historical accounts isn't Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, and two of Jesus' brothers Jude and James enough. Good grief, do you want a note from his mother. Don't answer that, it has no question mark.

It's hard to say. The biblical accounts are probably loosely based on a real person or set of people, although whether any such person was really named Jesus isn't precisely certain, and we can be pretty sure he didn't do miracles or anything. I think it mostly depends on how much the real person has to match the biblical accounts in order to count as a yes.

(Im gonna copy/paste my last answer, since you just asked this ^^) thx for the 2 (or 10?) points : ]
I do believe that Yoshua ben yosef ("Jesus") did exist, but I think he never preformed any "miracles" or was anything other than a really nice dude...
I know I don't have a 3 paragraph answer. but know that he did exist (and I'm not basing this off the bible, but historians who agree that he was in some way, a nonfictional person) They would also tell you he was black (or at least dark) and that later on European artist made the white Yoshua ben yosef in painting in order to put white people closer to God.

Yes he definitely existed, and exists now and forever and is ruling as king in God's kingdom.
Many Saw the Resurrected Jesus
In the book of Acts, the Gospel writer Luke stated: "To [the apostles] also by many positive proofs [Jesus] showed himself alive after he had suffered, being seen by them throughout forty days and telling the things about the kingdom of God." (Acts 1:2, 3) A number of disciples saw the resurrected Jesus on various occasions—in a garden, on a road, during a meal, by the Sea of Tiberias.—Matthew 28:8-10; Luke 24:13-43; John 21:1-23.

Matthew 28:5-10
5 But the angel in answer said to the women: “Do not YOU be fearful, for I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 He is not here, for he was raised up, as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying. 7 And go quickly and tell his disciples that he was raised up from the dead, and, look! he is going ahead of YOU into Gal´i·lee; there YOU will see him. Look! I have told YOU.”
8 So, quickly leaving the memorial tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to report to his disciples. 9 And, look! Jesus met them and said: “Good day!” They approached and caught him by his feet and did obeisance to him. 10 Then Jesus said to them: “Have no fear! Go, report to my brothers, that they may go off into Gal´i·lee; and there they will see me.”

From what I have learned, there was definitely a Jewish prophet fitting that description and name (though not the modern name "Jesus" that we associate him with).
There is proof that he had at least one brother: James.
Beyond that, I have some of my favorite beliefs about him, almost all have reasons (proof?) to belief and reasons (proof?) against.
He prolly did not start out preaching peace. Many quotes, even from the canon, show a man who could become upset and though great, was far from "perfect".
His peaceful preaching was ahead of its time and not popular to the majority of the people.
I believe when the people "chose" Barabbas they were choosing violent rebellion against Rome instead of peaceful resistance. Judas was most likely a violent rebel.
His peaceful preaching became much more popular after the Jews lost the Roman Jewish wars (only a couple of decades later).
Unfortunately one of his strongest proponents was not Jewish, did not understand Jewish history and law, and had major issues with sex and sexuality (hated women?).
