How do I meet someone?

I want to find some ways to get out more and meet new guys but I don't know how to go about it. I'm shy and I don't have regular internet access.

    you can meet people anywhere, be it at the grocery store or the gym. plus, there is nothing more attractive than a girl who approaches you so feel free to give a simple wave or a 'hi'. if hes interested, he'll respond, if not, you never have to see him again so it's win-win.
