How to keep cats off car.?
I don't know who's cat it is, and it happens at night while I am asleep and in the morning ther are paw prints and everything on it, looks dirty. If I knew when it was there I would do something, but I don't, I don't know about hooking electic wire to it since it is on rubber tires. People have said cayene pepper and some say it doesn't work, does amonia. What should I try, and I don't want to cover my car in a good carport.
Madison, you didn't give any ideas to solve the peoblem.
i don't recall asking this question before unless it went to another category too.
I was thinking more of something to put around the car. And I know electric wires used for fences aren't dangerous, we played with electric fences as kids, in the country.

You have to be careful about electrifying your car, there is a movement sensor that triggers a sprinkler on the market. You could buy an angry dog and attach the leash to the car tow bar over night, you might have chewed flat tyres by the morning though if the mutt gets too boredhttp://www.nextag.com/motion-sensor-sprinkler/sear...

If you find the answer to this question, you have solved the greatest riddle of the universe.
The only thing I can suggest, and I've never tried it because it would look bad, it to take a strong detergent or other nasty thing, and wipe it over all areas of your car that the cat can get onto and walk across. Do not rinse it off. After a couple days of that, the car probably won't look so good to the cat who has to lick that off their paws and body. Make sure it isn't anything poisonous though - maybe dish detergent?
PS - first time I've seen the question. I'm sure it is important and you'll keep trying till you find a solution. Best to you. Answers is a big place, maybe the 3rd time's the charm?

I wouldn't leave any chemical detergent on you car as it might ruin your paint. Since you don't want to cover your car and I can think of something to put on your car to keep the cat off but it's unattractive. I would get one of those car alarms that go off if something touches or bumps your car. It will scare the cat away probably after one time of jumping on it. If that's too pricey they have these small can's of air called Scat that you put on your hood. They are motion sensitive and send out a blast of air if the cat walks in front of them.
