Where would be a great place to have a destination wedding?

I would like to get married in the United States, but I absolutely do not want to get married on a beach. Also, we're not big on the pink and lace, country thing, so B & B's are pretty much out too. It might seem a bit picky, but I just can't decide.

    Hi Allison and congratulations!

What do you and your fiance like? I live in the Midwest....there are many weddings here taking place in restored barns, at the lake (not beach), in a park; at a mountain lodge, outside in the beautiful rolling hills, on a yacht, at an art gallery. The list goes on and on. You could also think about a cruise boat. What about Napa Valley?

You are limited only by your imagination! Surf the web and good luck!

My destination wedding is at the Disneyland Resort in California. WDW is also popular for weddings, and the number 1 honeymoon destination in the U.S. My wedding at Disneyland would cost the same if we did it here in Phoenix. It is a common misconception that Disney weddings equals a lot of money. You can go extravagent or simple. Whatever your budget may be. You have to plan at least a year in advance. Good luck and congratulations!

I wish I lived in the USA. If i did I would be heading down to Vegas for a fun weekend wedding with my fiance and a few close friends and family. Unfortunately I dont. I went on a Carnival Cruise to Mexico last year and they had the sweetest wedding chapel on board. If I could afford it that is the way I would be going. It would be so romantic.

I think Napa Valley is beautiful, really anytime of year but esp in fall. Otherwise, the Grand Canyon is amazing. Friends of mine got married on top of Aspen mountain in Colorado, and it was breathtaking. Lake Tahoe? Or Lake Champlain in Vermont?

Our daughter got married on a sunset cruise on the Schooner Appledore off of Key West. The captain of the ship married them. It was wonderful. We recommend it.

How about a vineyard off the central coast of California? Check this out. The website does not do justice to the beauty of this place.

The Carribean. You could have a 'weddingmoon.'

All your fam and friends could come down. You'd be surprised how cheap you can get wedding packages there at all-inclusive resorts.

The Dominican Republic is a great place!
