Post-marathon meal?
My husband is running a marathon right now. I'm making homemade (100%) pizza for his post-run meal. Aside from cheese and tomato sauce, it will have salami, fresh mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, and fresh onions. Is this an adequate meal for after the run?
(He'll already have eaten a banana and some chocolate by the time he arrives home.)
For those who can't read an entire paragraph and find the question, I'll type it here all by itself...
Is my planned meal (homemade pizza) adequate for after running a marathon?

You want to feed him carbohydrates and protein, so your meal sounds fine.
Make sure he does not stuff himself, he may be hungry, but go slow he may eat too much too fast and feel ill later.

Sounds great. You've got the carbs plus vegetables too. Make sure he sips on water the rest of the day also.
Congrats to you and he both.

I'm not a nutritionist, so can't help you on this one, but I do share your displeasure with people who answer questions, before they understand exactly what is asked.
Congratulations to your husband on his run.
