While you're googling, check into the stories of Lydia Fairchild and Karen Keegan, both of whom were eventually classified as chimeras. Simply put, genetically, these women were not the parents of the children to whom they gave birth (even though it was pretty clear that they had). The DNA didn't match up between parent and child and it often showed some very bizzare conclusions, such as Keegan's child being the genetic match between Keegan's husband and brother. Genetics isn't always an exact science and people are learning more and more all the time.
HOWEVER, chimeras are very rare, so the chances that your test could be affected by the condition are rare. In normal DNA tests, potential fathers are either excluded 100%, or they can be "proven" to the tune of 99.99%.
I hope that you get a conclusive answer, whomever the father turns out to be. Knowing who fathered your child will be so important for her later on in her life. Good Luck to you.

There has been a case that the mothers dna didnt match any of her kids. Its called chimerism. Like the dna in the persons blood was different from the dna taken from a swab in the mouth.
But back to the subject I agree with everyone...the test will prove that one of the guys is the father. Not both.

No, the DNA test cannot to wrong if you had sex with 8 men the same night. If neither man comes up as the father, then go to a different lab as they are screwing up something. Human error can occur, but an accredited lab generally doesn't have that problem.

You can get a home DNA test to be a little more private. My friend did that it was only 163.00 from DNA Diagonistic and if you can get a sample of hair or a swab of the guys mouths then you can do it that way and they will mail and email you the results without doing it in an office and feeling embarrassed. She just did a search of "home dna tests" and it came up. Try that.

Having sex with 2 guys in one night will not make their DNA mesh into one baby. Thus, there is no way this will have any effect on a DNA test of your baby. How completely ridiculous to think that having sex with 2 guys one 1 night will affect a DNA test. LOL.

Yes, it is possible for a DNA test to be wrong when either the mother of her child(or both, but that is extremely rare) is a chimera. Chimerism occurs when two or more embryos fuse together in the womb. Scientist are not sure why, but these embryos form the different parts of the baby's body, resulting in different parts of the body having different DNA. Therefore, a woman's blood DNA can be different from the DNA in her thyroid, reproductive organs, etc. When DNA tests are performed later, the DNA may not match because of the child's DNA would match that of their mother's reproductive organs, and the DNA tested may be taken from the blood or a cheek swab. The only way to diagnose chimerism is for a DNA test to come up wrong, those results to be appealed, and the different organs of the body to be retested several times. Chimerism is extremely rare, and that one of the few instances when DNA tests can be wrong between people who are known to be relate

The only way it cannot be accurate is if both men you had sex with are identical twins. Only one sperm fertalized your egg so only one guy can be the father. Those tests are nearly 100 percent accurate. How many guys it was or sex on the same night will not make a difference with the DNA results.

A DNA test is quite conclusive, and whether you had intercourse with both potential fathers on the same date has nothing to do with the results. Your child got her DNA from only one of the potential fathers, and no matter how closely you slept with them in a given time frame it will NOT effect her DNA.
One potential father will be disqualified 100%, and the other will be qualified-the result will never be 100%, but they are often 99.9999%.
I hope this helps!

The DNA of a person is not affected by the frequency of her mother's screwing.
To answer your question about whether a test can be wrong: of course it can. Any result is dependent on the person doing to the test. If it is a reputable, reliable lab, then the chances are minimal. Just remember human error is always a factor. If you doubt the result, get another opinion.

The dna test will be accurate. It doesnt matter if you had sex with them both at the same time. Just love your little girl!
