Of Course we Americans love the Aussies! We have common roots going back to England-you were settled by convicts and 'cast-off's'; we were too, Which makes for rugged individualism in manner and thought.
In social circles, Aussie businessmen and women carry a unique charisma of seriousness combined with an everpresent relaxed air.
If your country wasn't so darn far away and expensive to fly too, it would be the number #1 foreign vacation destination for us.
Cheers to our Aussie friends!

Which war? Actually the U.S. and Australia have always been friends; the respect side is largely based on working tgether during World War 2 and yes the Aussies who served in Vietnam (this is from a military perspective) also probably has something to do with large Irish population in both countries also. Personally Australia was my R&R trip in Vietna and was better treated there then I was returning here. Don't remember much about the trip which is directly related to a high degree of alcohol comsumption at the time but I did enjoy it.

I lived there as a kid and learned to love the country and people.
I think of all the countries in the world Americans love Aussies more than any other. We do have in general a common background both were a dumping ground for many of Europes unwanted.

Of course. Americans love Australians.
We are very similar to one another. We look alike, dress alike, have the same names, have the same wants and needs, have same values and morals, politically we are every compatible, and still others.
And yes, we appreciate your commitment to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Your help and support will always be remembered.
And trust in this: If the day ever comes when an enemy or a threat is baring down on your, just know, they'll have to get through US first!

U.S. citizens LOVE Aussies. And I'll tell ya why.
Americans love any country that speaks English as a first tongue. We love an Aussie accent. We love the sterotypical Aussie, a hard working, party till ya drop, drink to you puke macho stud (and that's just the women).
Aussies RULE! (We miss Steve...)

Aussies yes - very good allies of US. But I dont care a bit for your PM Brown. I think it is atrocious what he has done to the Aborigine people - stealing their lands.

Yes... generally... Always liked the Aussies... Outback Steak House, Crocodile Dundee, the GICO gecko.... & such.. and as far as the war goes, the Leftist would disrespect the Aussies because of their support.... But they don't like anyone but pinko socialist anyway....
