Which aspects of your spiritual beliefs are reflected in the beauty of the spider's web?

Interconnectedness, spontaneous right action, the wisdom of instinct, integrity/completeness, creativity, artistic/scientific tendencies in nature...the list goes on.

In a word: "temptation". :-)

I have heard, though, that: "Laws, like the Spiders Web, catch the fly and let the hawk go free"...

The story of Arachne who WAS a brilliant weaver first as a human and then as the spider Athene changed her into.... (I know that explanation is not scientific, but it is spiritually poetic)

A spider's web catches me.

It makes me stop and see. It makes me know my conventional knowing is never enough.

(And thereby reminds me of the web of lies I construct and entangle myself within whenever I am not in fact aware that I am suspended in Her.)

And it opens me to being held ... suspended ... in awe ... by all that weaves itself into expression as this moment ... and by all that conspires to make an appearance as "me" ... and all that I am dependent upon for my sense of "my" "independent" "existence."

Everyone will arrive at the same destination, they just all take different paths to get there.
