What is your favorite Quote? Who said it? Does it relate to your belief's, morals. etc...If So How?

"The destination is unimportant, it's the journey that counts." author unknown. It reminds me to stay in today instead of focusing on outcomes. I find it helps me live my life morally and ethically as what I do right now is all that is important and directly affects my future.

That sums up my philosophy on life. If a person can't do all those things and more, they're not fully human. And yes, I've done all those things and more... except die gallently, and I'm looking forward to that.

I like this one because many people are unhappy because they are plagued by the lack of answers to philosophical or spiritual questions. So maybe if you want to be happy, you do just have to pick something and accept it and move on with life.

I especially like the last one because I know that most of the world's major religions have the same or very similar codes of conducts and morals. The differences are really in the names of the Gods, not in how we should act. If everyone would just follow his or her own religion without feeling the need to convert everyone else, many problems would disappear or at least be more easily solved.

Oh there are so many quotes to choose from! It's hard to say which one is my favorite for certain, but here's one that I really do love and live by:

When ever I feel like all hope is lost, I think about this quote and some others that are similar to it and think to myself that you really can do nearly everything once you put your mind to it. I also like "You need sun and rain to make a rainbow." though I don't remember where I heard that one.

Another good one is "A lot of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will ride the bus with you when the limo breaks down." -Oprah Winfrey.

It really motivates me to be the best person I can be as well as find friends who will be there for me when I need them and I will be there when they need me.

what it means i have no idea

"Uttishta Bharata". originally an Upanishadic statement, repeated by Chanakya and Swami Vivekananda. This literally means "Awake oh Indian". Awake form the slumber, to free yourself from all kinds of dominations. During Chanakyas time, it was the Greek invasion from Alexander, son of Phillip of Macedonia, and during Vivekananda's time, it was the British colonial rule. It relates to my morals and beliefs, because hardly any Indians know their potentials and the power of ancestry.

well.. although i have changed my views and opinions over the years... i would have to say that at this certain time in my life my favorite quote (thats to say, the quote that characterizes me the most right now) would have to be:

"everying in moderation"

do what u want, when u want it, but dont ever cross the line. eat chocolate (enough to keep u satisfied, not enough to make u fat), lie (enough to keep people around u happy and possitive, not enough to hurt urself and others), study (enough to keep a good level at school, not enough to give u a nervous breakdown), be lazy (enough to chill and relax, not enough to gain weight and lose muscle), be crazy (enough to have fun, not enough to be sent to the loony bin)...etc etc. You get my point, right?

i cannot see how following this quote in every aspect of ur life could ever do you wrong. can you?

It's hard to pick a favorite quote from centuries of well known quotes. So I'll just give you this more modern one that I have always tried to live by:

I think he was a very respected thinker of his time, and as a founding father of America, he also believed in the pursuit of happiness. But I think he enjoyed beer much in the way that tobacco should be enjoyed -- in moderation. Nothing like the way that many Americans do things now, in excess.
