what reaction did you or your baby have to DPT vaccine?
I think this vaccine caused behavior/conduct disorder in my now almost grown son. With the stories going on right now about it causing death, retardation and autism, they are the same stories I heard in 1990. What's your experience?

well i have 6 siblings we were all vaccinated with no negative affects, my brother has 5 kids they were all vaccinated with no negative affects and i have 4 children all vaccinated with no negative affects (not even a fever)
so i really can't say, except the CDC is still saying that the vaccines did not cause the autism we are all hearing about. problem is autism appears around the same time these vaccinations occur, so i think some people are just paranoid and it is just a coincidence.
and the fact that they are saying that autism is on the rise i think is bull crap as well, it is not more frequent, it is just more diagnosed now. and they are counting all stages of autism, not just the most severe.

I do not believe vaccines cause autism. I have several relatives that have autism. Some have had the DPT vaccine, some have not. They all started showing signs of autism at around the same age.
I think it's genetic. I don't think it has anything to do with vaccines- people just think that because it starts at around the same age as when people get the vaccine that the vaccine is to blame.
Babies have been getting the DPT test at least since I was a baby- the autism "boom" has been mostly in the past 10 years.

I have five children ranging from 11 years to 4 months. The only reaction I've seen in any of them in relation to the DPT vaccine is a slight fever for twenty four hours, and a bit of pain and swelling at the injection site for two days.

nothing, I took those concerns to my ped and he said vaccines nowadays are very different from those 10 years ago, he said they are always evolving and are safer with time. He also said autism is being misdiagnosed, meaning that now it seems that many have it and get diagnosed even before getting to the appropriate age where it can be tested, get all the tests done, etc. Maybe your son's behavior is more related - no offense- with your style of parenting and not to some vaccine? Has a Dr confirmed that to you? I'm almost sure the answer is no.

Don't ask anyone on here. The majority of people are mainstream and are brainwashed to think nothing bad could happen from vaccines. I, on the other hand, believe they are much more harmul than good....that is why my son is not being vaccinated and we are breastfeeding to boost his immunity and taking the natural approach. Some people agree with it and their babies do fine....but it's my personal choice.
Please e-mail me if you'd like some links to possible reactions to different vaccines. I understand where you are coming from. If you need support on this, join CafeMom and search for non-vaxing groups and you can ask plenty of women on their about their bad experiences with their children.
In the mean time....search these links I've provided and look up reactions and side effects to the DTP shot.

I couldn't take it my first shot my parents said i turned blue and stopped breathing.
My first child was very sick every time and she gets sick a lot know i think it lowered her immune system she has Hsp right know where going through that. So yeah i think they should do something else. Its sad cause you can't get into school unless you take it unless the Dr says you don't have to.
