Deffensive V.S Offensive game???

I like the fast high scoring games, because things can change so quickly. Nothing against defense, it's important, certainly, but seeing a guy force a forward to the boards isn't as exciting as a guy taking a great shot and a goalie making a great save. Even if the game is low scoring, it can still be an offensive game if the goalies are playing great. That's the type of game I love to watch- great goalies, great forwards, and a hard checking defense. Then you know that that goal might come at anytime if the goalie makes a mistake, and every shot is that much more exciting, and there are lots of shots. Forwards and goalies are just more exciting in my opnion...

I feel the same way. I am a goalie, I like to see a sweet stop over a sweet goal anyday. I think that if you go a whole game without a goal, it makes it that much sweeter when you do score. Nobody likes to win every game by 5. The exciting games are the ones that go down to the wire and both teams are giving it there all. I also like college hockey better then the nhl because the guys always go all out and never coast. Also, they go out on a limp and take risks because they are trying to make it to the next level. NHLers don't always try there best, but why should they, they are getting paid regardless.

well then i bet thats y u like the wings, always have great defense... but i guess they do score a lot of goals so theres usually more than a goal a game... but yea i agree with you.. i like the closer games, especially in the playoffs, so tense, thats y i didnt like the stanley cup finals last year, i mean i find it much more exciting like how the wings won it in '97 with a 2-1 win instead of how the ducks did it with a 6-1 win, i mean congrats to the ducks, but its much more exciting with a close game.

Remember,Hockey isn't like any other sports.It takes Patience's.that what make s the goals so sweet in hockey.Remember you need defensive just as much as you need offensive to win games

I love a 8-6 game instead of a 1-0... So boring!
