Someone found it interesting, funny or wanted to share it with their contacts (it shows up on contacts profile page and home page).
You can find which question by looking at your question list - the stars will show next to the question. If you want to know who starred it, go to the question, and click on "show who starred", just under your question - just above all the answers :)

It means ur question was interesting to the person who starred it, and if u want to find which question it was go thru the section which lists questions that u've asked, u'll find it in ur profile page just below the points section. Hope it helps. Just keep ur eyes open and go thru ur profile page.
Just below activity details there r these tabs My answers, My question My starred question and My watchlist. Since u;ve received the star to ur question ur question will be listed in " My Questions Tab"

Its like a gold star from the teacher ! It was a good or intersting question in the persons opinion & they wanted it recognised as such
Well done :)

it means someone liked your question or someone was interested but did not want to answer so they star so they can come back to it and read the answers you did get.
so its kind of like a pat on the back or a bookmark.
