Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim - In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hello. I've given a link to an excellent website, but meanwhile I'll try to hit the high points.

Muslims believe in One God, Allah, who is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. He is the God who created Adam and Eve and who gave the Torah to Moses and the Gospel to Jesus, and the final revelation, the Qur'an, to Muhammad, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon them all. We believe Jesus is the Messiah and was the final prophet for Bani Israel, but he was human, though his conception was miraculous. We don't believe in Original Sin so there is no need for a Redeemer.

Islam does not have a priesthood. Each Muslim prays directly to God with no intercessors. Our teacher whom we follow is the Prophet Muhammad, and our scripture is the Qur'an.

Muslims believe in Angels as creatures of light, and we believe in a Day of Judgment. Hell is real and Paradise is real. This world is basically a testing ground to see who will obey Allah or who will reject Him.

Those are the high points. I highly recommend you visit the site I have posted. There is a wealth of information there.

May Allah guide you to that which is best in this world and the next. Ameen.

    Fi Aman Allah,

    Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid

Catholics believe in Jesus but they also pray to Mary and the "Saints" this religion was founded by romans who put together pagenism and Christianity to make $ and peace

Christians believe in Jesus also, that He is the Savior

    Muslims believe in Allah

Jewish are waiting for the Savior, they do not believe Jesus is the Savior but they are the root of Christianity

Pentacostal are Christians that believe in all the gifts, including being able to speak in other languages by the Holy Spirit

    Protestants are Christians, not Catholics

In the Bible, a man of God named Abraham had two sons:

Isaac - where the Christians come from

Ishmael - where the Muslims come from

a lot of protestant churches such as Baptists, Pentacostals, Methodists, etc, believe in the same things but have a few differences. Baptists believe that once you are saved, you are always saved. Methodists don't believe that gifts such as speaking in other languages are for today, just in Bible times.

There are booklets that you can get pretty cheap that tell the differences in more detail than any of us can hear and you are going to get everyone's opinion on each of them. I'm partial to Pentacostal, myself:)

  • Catholics are Christian. They believe they were the original church, unchanged, when in reality the Roman Catholic Church is COMPLETELY different than the "early church" the one before Rome got involved.

All other Christian churches are influenced in some way with Roman Catholicism...

Muslims believe Jesus was just a prophet and not divine(aka son of God). They believe Muhammad was the last prophet. They also believe in the Jewish books...same as the Christians.

Jews are the basis for Christian and Muslim religion. They do not believe Jesus was Divine or a prophet, neither do they believe Muhammad was a prophet.

    Pentacostals are Christians....

    Protestants are Christians....

Source(s): Catholic Crusader....I agree, but Baptists and Mormons do not consider themselves protestants, either does the US government.

religion has its place, otherwise Adam would not have ordained priests.

otherwise there would be one Anti christ religion and everyone else would be beheaded or fighting in a trench somewhere to defend against the antichrist.

the only difference between christian religions is the interpretation of different translations of the bible.

the difference between christianity and islam and Judaism is the source of religious doctrine.

protestants followed Martin Luther when He nailed the letter to the door. i mean after a couple generations of debate and war.

the catholic church is one tradition, protestants and evangelicals follow a different belief.

the reason the KJV of the bible was translated was because the catholic church was accused of withholding the truth.

check out the mormon LatterDaySaint church, it is different because God says all churches have fallen from the way of the truth. but be careful, even the leaders in the LDS church are not inspired in truth.

Christianity comes from the Jews. Protestants broke away from the Catholics because of the system, basically.

Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism.

There are three branches of Christianity:

    1 Catholic

    2 Protestant (includes 1000's of sub-denominations)

    3 Eastern Orthodox

If you are a Christian, you are one of those. .

Every Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from unity with the pope in 1054. The Protestant churches broke away and were established during the protestant revolt, which began in 1517. (Hence the name "protestant", from "protest". Most of today’s Protestant churches are actually offshoots of the original Protestant offshoots.)

Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The line of popes can be traced back, in unbroken succession, to Peter himself. This is unequaled by any institution in history: Even the oldest government is new compared to the papacy. The Catholic Church has existed for nearly 2,000 years, despite constant opposition from the world. This is testimony to the Church’s divine origin: Any merely human organization would have collapsed long ago. The Catholic Church is today the most vigorous church in the world (and the largest, with a billion members: one sixth of the human race), and that is testimony not to the cleverness of the Church’s leaders, but to the protection of the Holy Spirit.

I don't really say "I believe in this" or "I don't believe in that", but I think that there is more to life than simply being born, existing for 70 years, and the dying and being gone forever. We all have a purpose. The specifics of that purpose, where it comes from, why it's there? I have no idea.

Jews and Muslims believe in one God, the creator of everything , creator of Abraham, Moses , Jesus and others.

Catholics believe in the Trinity and some worship Jesus instead of God

They are actually all the same, in what they broadly do. In that they are not correct with their teachings and knowledge, as such. They all depend on blind faith - because there is no concrete proof for what they teach. Nothing at all.

To get to proper spiritual teachings, that is devoid of self promoting propanganda, you have to go to what is considered heretical sources - that is free thinking, and open to questioning.

Such as www.figu.org (English Discussion Forum).
