How do I get rid of a stye?

Hi all,

I think I have a stye on my bottom eyelid. It hurts and is very tender. I don't see a pronounced bump but it is larger in one area. How do I get rid of it?

There is a medicine called STYE and you can get it at any drugstore or pharmacy. I get them and use a combination of that med and hot packs. Get a wash cloth or paper towel and put hot water on it and then put it on your eye. Leave it there for a few minutes and repeat. The heat draws the head out, like a pimple(in most cases it can be popped or the puss will leak out on it's own), pretty gross, I know. The heat makes it feel better too. If it doesn't help, then go to the doctor.

Go to the doctor and get some medicine.Don't try to pop it and stop wearing make-up for a while and don't scratch it or rub your eyes. Doing so will only make it worse and before you know it you'll have it in both eyes.

Go to the pharmacy, chemists, and get a small jar of Boric Acid.

Read the directions, it only takes a small amount, disolved in hot water.

Rinse your eye with the solution.

    Source(s): Old remedy.

There is an old wives tale that if you take a solid gold ring and rub it back and forth across is lightly this will make it go away. I personally have never tried it so I can't say if it actually works or not.

A warm compress, or a warmed wet towel, whatever you have handy...just keep it on there until you get too warm under there and keep at it until that little critters gone..

You could go to a dr. and get some sort of medical eyedrops and or cream. but in all honestly every person that i' ve known to have one has always just pop'd them.
