If your kitty is also experiencing some hair loss it could be ringworm. If it is, you need to get it treated because it is highly contagious and you can get it too.

If she is scratching a lot - it could be a reaction to fleas. Frontline or Advantage work.

Or....My kitty has allergies and at this time time of year she scratches and it causes scabs. But usually just in one area.

    Good luck!

A visit to the vet is probably in order.

It could be many things, I only have ferrets but they've had them before and it was because of fleas. If might be a good idea to take it to the vet to be sure that it's nothing serious. You'd better be safe than sorry.

It could be fleas - or ringworm - or mites. Honestly, only a vet can diagnose it by taking a skin scraping. I would take him asap so that it doesn't get any worse and lead to other problems.

I'm not sure. Ringworm maybe? You need to take him to the vet. It might be contagious.
