Norstadamus Special on History Channel?
He's predicted the death and success of Popes... He's accurately seen the death and assasinations of Kings, Presidents and other leaders... He totally NAILED 9/11... Now he says the end is near... He says the motivation for the end of the world will be a second Holy War!! Your thoughts please.
Man...some of you guys have some real chips on your shoulders (Eric C)!! I didn't SAY that I bought into it okay? I just asked for your thoughts. And for those of you who questioned the lost book of drawings actually having been written by Nostradamus himself...Look, I'm just going on what History Channel strongly alluded to, okay: that it COULD have been he who drew those pictures. Don't shoot the messenger, just tell me what you think, please...

I think a lot of his predictions are what the reader wants to believe. The burning tower they were showing on the show is the classic depiction of "The Tower" in tarot cards, and he didn't invent those. If it were so prophetic, why didn't he show two of them? We've had 500 years of events since he made those predictions--at some point his quatrains are going to fit something if you stretch them far enough. Even when he's talking about "The New City" he talks about 25--that isn't the parallel that actually runs through New York City, and there's quite a distance between northern New York State and New York City. He does have some predictions that are fairly accurate, but I don't think he predicted as much as his followers think he did.

Really, Nostradamus predicted nothing accurately. What we have is a 16th Century fraud being mistransalated by modern frauds who find they can make some money with this hoary nonsense. I have seen wild transalations of his quatrains in "Centuries". I speak French and know much Latin, so I can tell what his verses really mean. He said nothing about 9/11. One quatrain tells something will happen in the 7th month of 1999. Some fraud twisted that to try to make it 9/11/01. That boggles the mind. I have answered questions about Nostradamus many times, and I can give details about many of his wild verses that frauds say predicted something. Most are so vague they mean anything or nothing. When he was specific, he was badly wrong. He wrote a prediction, not in the "Centuries", that few people would be alive in the 18th Century. That was obviously wrong. He did not say the end is near, really. The last date mentioned in a quatrain was July 1999. The world did not end then, did it? I am surprised that the History Channel would have such nonsense as this.

I think that both you and the History Channel are confusing the authentic writings of Nostradamus with the false ones. For example, it's pretty widely known that the 9/11 "prediction" wasn't written by him.

He didn't nail anything, especially not 9/11. It's all open to interpretation, and there's an entire industry dedicated to seeing his work "nail" things with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight.
That said, I enjoy seeing his "work" investigated and am amazed that people so readily believe it.

Precognition is physically impossible. All of those "predictions" were massively misinterpreted from what Nostradamus actually said. He was just vague enough so that what he said could be applied to anything.

Nostradamus gave very vague and ambiguous predictions.
Why don't you read some actual prophets such as Isaiah and Ezekiel.
