W.T.F. ! WHAT would you do if this happened to YOU PLEASE READ THIS?

Question

2 days ago microsoft had a xbox live update.my gamer tag was lost for 6 hours,no big deal. i finally recovered it,like many other people had to do,so fine.but , here is the problem all my save game filres where deleted upon return of my gamertag.so i calleds xbox to complain, and to see if they could help.their answer was sorry we can't recover your game saves,and that i should have made back ups.so as pissed as i was i proceeded to tell the guy and his manager ,what i thought of microsoft at that moment.those suck bags offered me nothing in compisation or a apology,their update of xbox live corrupted my gamer tag and 2 years of saves i;m talking 86 saved game files,and over 4000 achievment points.so here's my question should i start all over again or just sell it all off and go ps3 out of spite WWYD.

Realistically gamerpoints don't mean anything.. it's just about bragging rights but nobody else really cares what anyone elses points are anyways.. losing save games does suck.. I know that even though I am never going to go back and load up any of my old save games again that I would feel a great deal of loss if they were somehow deleted.. I like the idea that I could go back if I wanted.. even if I know I won't.. it's almost like all those hours spent playing created a work of art or something represented by the saves.. so I can see why you are upset..

What would I do.. I think I would keep playing the Xbox.. you still have the console and the games.. maybe keep an eye on whats going on with the PS3.. I feel like the PS3 isn't quite where it needs to be yet.. there aren't enough games.. the online still isn't quite there.. and the price is too high.. I think once the developers figure out how to use the Cell processor there are going to be some awesome games.. so wait until then.. the price will be then lower too..

How exactly did this happen?

Do you use 'Recover Gamertag' to move your gamertag from Xbox to Xbox? that's dangerous.. you need to use a memory unit.. the Recover function has always been prone to losing gamerpoints and achievements..

Have you ever shared your account or used tampered save games?  Microsoft is cracking down on that (link below)

That sucks dood. I would personally take a break from xbox for a while if that happened to me. Cancel your subscription for a month. See how you feel after that. You'll know what you want to do then.

You should start over dude when i was starting live i already had like 2000 achievement points but i made a mistake with putting the info into my live account changed my name so i started with 0 again but got it back ;)

i just wanna say "**** them", warn them to sue in consumer court. its a business world man, you paid not only for their product but also for the services which come with products. its completely your right to sue them if they had done this bullshit to you
