What do LPN's/LVN's make in your area?

Im in Michigan. Lpns at the hospital make between 16-22/hr and LPNs at the Nursing home or factory make between 23-26/hour. Lpns in home care make between 20 and 22/hour.

I live in Buffalo, NY and there are two main healthcare systems here: Kaleida and Catholic Health. There are other independent hospitals but these are the 2 biggies.Kaleida is union and...let me dig out the book lol...looks like the LPN's start at about 16 an hour without shift diff. Catholic has no union and starts at much less, and usually only hires LPNs for SNF or ALF, more like 13 an hour if they're lucky.

My guess is that your wages are much lower in the Cleveland area than here in the Columbus. Our Hosp. pays roughly 20 with exceptional benefits, Skilled facilities 21, Physician office 15, Agency 27-I made 37/hr when I drove to Cleveland for a weekend warrior shift. Currently I am self employed contracting at an ICF/MR earning 25. I ahve been a nurse for 4 years. My first job in a skilled facility I made 17.85/hr.

Recently, LPNs and RNs were featured in the JobNews paper. The average starting salary was somewhere around 35,000 for those near Cleveland.
