What is wrong w/2 yr old cat who suddenly & temporarily lost all muscle control, then dizzy & then was fine?

Entire episode lasted less than five minutes. It took her maybe 15 min after that to resume normal activity (ie. jump, run, etc). Took her to vet & blood work all OK. Urine strong but that was the only thing out of the ordinary. Baffling!

Sounds like it could be a low blood-sugar episode. I had a diabetic cat who used to get like that when her blood sugar dropped, we had to give her nutri-gel to bring it back up. The problem with diagnosing it in a non-diabetic cat is that by the time the blood tests are done, the sugar levels are back to normal! If it happens again, try putting some honey or glucose syrup into her mouth and see if that brings her back to normal quickly.

I'm Sorry, It Seems Like She's Dying From Something Incurable, If She's Weak And Just Skin And Bones, And Ten Years Is Us To The Age Of Being Old For The Cat, At Least In Her Health Condition, She Seems To Be Suffering And If You Really Do Love Her, You Will End Her Suffering Now. Did they check her for ticks? Sometimes tick bites can cause temporary paralisis...hmmm...I just would continue to monitor her. If the vet checks her out, she should be o.k...but still keep an eye out for weird behavior.

Does she go outside? If so, she could have taken a spill...and it might be a concussion..

My cat came in and had similar symptoms, but she also had a raspberry on her head suggesting she may have had a minor head trauma the vet said..then she was fine.

If she is o.k. that's all that matters...but sometimes things don't pop up until later..so keep an eye out.

It sounds like something neurological. Stroke/Seizure. Seizures have been known to happen only once in a lifetime. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. You have taken it to the vet. that's all you can do, except keep a eye on it for a couple days.

Keep an eye on anything she may be getting into. She may have had what is called in human adults a T.I.A. ( transischemic attack =mini-stroke) or cardio-vascular accident i.e (small clot briefly blocked a blood vessel in the brain.) usually passes fairly quickly.

Perhaps a focal seizure...ask your vet.
