Good gifts for a boyfriends family...?

Make a decorated basket of different holiday treats that everyone would like cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, pumpkin rolls and so on...

If you don't know their tastes or personality well enough then food is something that will always be accepted

My favorite boyfriend's family gift idea is to buy cute holiday mugs and pair them with coffee or hot coco mixes and marshmallows. Crate and Barrel usually has nicely packaged holiday drink mixes, and Target has adorable holiday mugs. I buy homemade marshmallows from Whole Foods.

I always get the impression you're buying for the Mom's sake anyways, haha, and this is a nice way to buy something that anyone in the family could partake in. Plus, its easy to put your own touch on such an "assembled" gift and make it look creative. Good luck!

If you have not known them long, keep it simple and small, but if you have known them longer, this changes my ideas. Since you didn't say, I will assume they are fairly new to you. If they drink, a nice bottle of wine and some nice chocolates will do fine. If they don't, you might just get a nice ornament, or picture frame. I would keep to generic gifts if you don't know them well. Also, a gift certificate to a portrait studio is nice, if you know them well, as this is a little more costly. Good luck

if you've been dating a while and they are comfortable with you, you might want to give a gift with your boyfriend... that way you can spend more... its not about the money at all, but even the simplist things cost a lot these days! A fun family game.... a fondue set.... something where everyone can interact and use at some point... find out from your bf what the family is interested in... where they use to vacation.. and then use that info to find something really creative! good luck!

If you're wanting to do a family gift instead of individual gifts, I have sent beautiful fruit and sweets baskets from Harry and David's (I'm not promoting them, you can get them from any company you wish). Or you could buy a beautiful Christmas flower arrangement. You could make your own Christmas basket full of things you made - cookies, fudge, pumpkin bread, etc.

Depends on how long you have been with your boyfriend..but for my ex's family. I bought them a 4 person picnic hamper (from target etc) and then put some gourmet cookies in and a packet of yummy chocolates.

They loved it, and it wasn't too expensive either (under $55) and it covered them all. Otherwise a nice indoor or outdoor plant, a candle (scented) and candle holder, photo frame etc all with a box of choccies.

Nothing personal. Gift card for a cafe. A wreath or X-mas ornament for the tree that is not too personal. Box of candy. Homemade cookies. Nothing too expensive either.

Cheap way out- Wal Mart gift card for however much...

Dvd's maybe, if his mom is into purses, go get a good cheapish purse from dillards, for his dad maybe a surround sound system from best buy or so, you can find some decently cheap ones... good luck!

Gift certificates to a restaurant are always safe.

If they all have a favorite sports team, you could get them matching team memorabilia. If you have any special talents, like a craft or something you can make with your hands, it would mean a lot and would probably be useful.
