There are times when I could understand why someone may have an unspoken request. But I cant stand it when every week the same people have an unspoken request. I don't know why it bothers me, and it probably shouldn't, but it does.

I think they're great. Because sometimes we have a prayer request..but we don't want everyone in church to know all the juicy details.

So unspoken prayer requests are the answer.

I don't think its necessary for us to know what someone needs prayer for in order to pray for them. People have a tendency to turn prayer requests into gossip and someone sincerely seeking prayer doesn't deserve to have their problem published to the whole congregation.

I think that they are just fine! God knows everyones thoughts no matter what. Sometimes prayer requests are personal, and it's not necessary to share them with everyone. It's important that you have a one-on-one connection with god and therefore it doesn't matter if your prayer requests are spoken aloud or not!

It's a lot better than someone using a prayer request for a gossip session..Like please help John Doe get a job so he can quit drinking and his wife doesn't have to steal peaches off my tree..type of prayer requests..

Our church doesn't even do the unspokens. In my mind, EVERYONE has unspokens----else they would speak them. So we pray for those mentioned AND those that are too personal or painful to even mention.

hi Raven, i'm now not a protestant yet decrease back while i replaced right into a member of the "Lord's restoration" we did here issues on Sunday. Met at 10:00AM and sat on the assembly hall (a huge plantation domicile) in a circle. throughout the circle replaced right into a espresso table. for greater or less an hour we sang songs from a hymnal. This replaced into observed by utilising a ten minute destroy the place human beings socialized. We then have been given decrease back mutually and an elder would communicate with regard to the readings we've been all meant to have study throughout the week. each weekday had a meditation printed by utilising residing flow Ministries that each physique replaced into meant to purchase and study faithfully. After a quick introduction the elder would sit down and individuals would take turns sharing their evaluations on the interpreting, be it stuff they enjoyed or questioned approximately. you probably did not would desire to declare something yet have been strongly inspired to. purely advantageous comments have been inspired. midway throughout the sharing a team of people would get a dish of skinny bread and weigh down it up on the espresso table and bypass it around. A field of grape juice replaced into additionally handed around with little cups. each and each individual replaced into to take a chew of bread and a cup of juice and consume them on an analogous time as listening to the sharing that replaced into occurring. close to the tip of the assembly their would be pray-interpreting. This replaced into the repeating of parts of a bible passage, generally in 3-notice increments by utilising each physique till the passage replaced into finished. The assembly would generally come to an end at around 12:00PM. those human beings believed they have been worshiping God in those conferences. They in no way known an reliable pastor yet there have been elders who acted like unofficial pastors. Elders did not have messages of their own yet depended on components from the publishing company stated above. I felt there replaced into some thing lacking in the centers so I moved on in seek for a church that replaced into greater religious, one that replaced into outfitted on the rock.

I think that they are ok, because God knows what is in the heart, and He is the one that we are praying to anyway. Some people are shy to share what is going on with them- however if they never share with anyone than I think there can be a problem.

    A. Bible says, Let thy petitions be known. B. If its private, that's ok. Just ask God inwardly,w/o mentioning it to anyone. C. That just makes people ask questions!!!!! Supposedly what they don't want.
