concert alone/anxiety?

blaghhh stupid.but whatever.

i'm going to a concert tomorrow. it's pretty much the biggest ever around here. paramore, jimmy eat world, AVA, red jumpsuit, finger eleven....and a whole lot more

it's all general admission seating seated and the venue is pretty big.so my 1st question is how much in advance would you get there? i know you dont know much specific but yea

i know a few people that are going but none that i'm great great friends with

should i just enjoy it by myself or force their friendships with me?

First of all....GREAT concert choice...I'm actually quite jealous!!!

To be honest with you...Jimmy Eat World and AVA are the type of bands you should sit back and enjoy. They are both AMAZING live and I would suggest you enjoy them alone. There's nothing worse than trying to close your eyes and feel the music and have the person on the side of you grabbing your arm and jumping all over the place.

I truly AM jealous!!!! Enjoy the show!!

Look, just get a drink and enjoy the show! Who cares if you are alone. I always go to concerts by myself and I don't care if I do or with a group. If I am a biiig fan of the artist, all my attention will go to them...not who I'm with. Lots of times if you invite someone to a concert that is not a fan...

it can be an interuption actually. So in that case, I prefer to go alone. But then again...

there is always those people that NEVER get out and act like idiots at concerts and ruin it for true fans. Anyway, just go...

have a tequila shot and enjoy!

definetly do not force the friendship not a good idea... i would just go and have fun, dont worry about who is there pay attention to the music, which willl be easy cuz those are some AWESOME bands. maybe you will even meet some other ppl at the concert, but be careful who you hang with and make good decisions. also, maybe you could talk with these other "friends" for a while, and if things are awkard, then just go back to yr seat. bottom line, I wouldnt waste suh a great oppertunity worrying about who im hanging with. have fun and be safe!!!

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.

Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

Dont worry. You wont have to force friendships..I find that people are more open and friendly in such circumstances, with all the excitement around. It'll be fine.

I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST TAKE IT IN WITH ALL OF THE OTHER FANS/PEERS, IF YOU GO WITHOUT ANY EXPECTATIONS THEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO, BUT HAVE A GOOD TIME!
