Can you help me with stiff underarms on my shirts?
The problem I'm having is that the underarms of some of my favorite shirts are becoming stiff and some are kinda white looking. It almost feels waxy in a way, but not really. It's hard to explain. I am pretty sure it's from my deodorant, but I don't know how to get it out. When I just wash them it doesn't come out. I can't wear some of my shirts because of it. Does anyone know a way to get rid of this?

you could also try making a thin paste with baking soda and vinegar and letting it set for a little bit. After its set for awhile, go back and take an old toothbrush and try scrubbing it with the brush. It may loosen the old deodorant and remove it from the fabric.
The oxy clean idea is a great idea too, but if you do it make sure you do the paste thing too with oxy clean and the HOTTEST water possible. I am a fan of oxy clean as long as you use almost boiling water...the hotter the water...the better it works.
One more thing to think about here. If you are using a product that clings like that to fabric...you might want to rethink it. You could be clogging the pores in your armpits and actually working against sweat protection. There is wonderful products out there for people that need a stronger deodorant (if thats the case?? I am not implying that it is) The clinical strength deodorants I hear are wonderful and maybe you wouldn't need to use all that much of it, and wouldn't stain your shirts? It could also be something as easy as switching from either a spray on with a big amount of powder or even a white stick to something more like a clear stick. There is a deodorant crystal out there too that works great and is natural! I will leave the link for it below.
Good luck!

I've never tried this, but I've heard that you should boil some water and then pour it directly on the shirt. This should help loosen/remove the stains. Good luck

Try soaking that part in a small bowl of vinegar then rewash. Ensure that deodorant/antiperspirant is thoroughly dry before dressing.

A good presoak in Oxy clean may help . If not make a paste with the oxyclean and water and let it work on those pits.

Nope. Once your shirts become 'pitted out' its time to toss them. One thing you can do is wear an undershirt to protect your nice ones.

Use white vinegar to soak them in, it is good to use to get b.o. and/or deodorant.
