Filming Events that Require Admission?
How do photographers/ videographers deal with events that require an admission charge? How does the person filming the event gain admittance and how can they get to a vantage point that accommodates their camera and equipment.
2 AnswersPhotography7 years agoWhat kind of lawyer should I call?
My neighbor's sump pump spews rusty water onto my property 24x7x365. This has been ongoing for years, and I have to incur the costs of cleaning driveway (it's blacktop, but now burnt orange), the gutter, and the street in front of my house. My cars all have burnt orange residue on them as well. His is the only house in the neighborhood that does this.
I talked to the neighbor. He said it was my problem.
I've contacted the HOA. They said it was my problem.
I've contacted the City. They said it was my problem.
I've contacted the EPA. They said it was my problem.
I need a lawyer to get someone to take legal action. What type of lawyer should I get?
Thanks!
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoHow to handle someone who refuses to be a team player?
It's my first season of running a men's indoor soccer team, having played for more than a decade. I decided the strategy and found players that I knew who had the skills for the various positions. It's very structured in terms of formation and subbing, and everyone knew this going in.
Everyone has bought in, except one guy. He's an adequate player, and a good guy off the field. However, when he plays, he disregards the team and decides to play full-court and and never subs out.
He feels that he's the best player and knows more about the game than anyone else. The result is that it ticks everyone off and it's up to me to handle. Since he's paid his dues, I can't just 'bench' him or kick him off the team.
My hope is that he'll either buy in or get frustrated and quit. Any thoughts on how to handle in the mean time?
Thanks

4 AnswersInvesting8 years agoDid the NCAA change the celebration penalty in football?
I've seen several times this year where players will hold the ball out in front of them and high step into the end zone on a breakaway. I've also seen receivers either dive in the end zone or get up to goal line and fall in when scoring uncontested touchdowns.
I thought the NCAA had a rule that it would be a spot foul and the ball would be placed at the spot where the celebration took place.
Did this rule go away?
2 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoHelp! What is the name if this awful song?
It was released fairly recently, sung by a woman, and is played to death on the adult contemporary stations. Every line of the chorus starts with what sounds like 'P.T.I.C.', and the same acronym is used alot during the verses. The verses are done in a light rap style, while the chorus is melodic. It sounds like an 'uplifting' and 'encouraging' song.
I also believe a bank used the song as its jingle in a commercial recently.
I thought it was a commercial until I heard it played at the gym, but it was hard to hear.
2 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoHow to deal with neighbor's house?
The house next door pumps out rusty water from their basement onto the street 24x7. It's because they have an old cast iron field tile running next to their foundation that the developers did not remove. Because of the slope to the sewer drain, the orange water pools in front of my house, where our cars drive through it tracking it onto the driveway.
The homeowner association refuses to do anything about it. They say it's my problem.
The catch is, the guy next door is a nice guy.
How do I ratchet up my complaints without ruining the situation? And who can I escalate my complaints to if the HOA refuses to intervene?
Thanks
3 AnswersEtiquette8 years agoRecourse for Insurance Renewal not Authorized?
I had insurance on my web retail business for the past few years and had to renew each year. This year, I told the agent I wanted to cancel, and he acknowledged. Now they're saying they renewed my policy and want me to pay. What is my recourse?
2 AnswersInsurance8 years agoHow to promote license revocation and vehicle confiscation for those who text and drive?
My state is mulling over new penalties for those who get caught texting while driving. They mentioned the possible penalty for the first time offense would be (permanent) license revocation and vehicle confiscation. I'm all for it and contacted my senator and congressman. What else can people do to help pass this law?

If everyone pays taxes to fund state universities, why do most have strict entrance policies? I can understand such for private universities.

I don't golf or follow golf. After playing on Thursday and Friday to make the cut, do the players start off from 0 again, or do they keep their scores and start where they left off on Friday?
4 AnswersGolf8 years agoWhat are some good books or websites with ideas to find purpose in life?
I have a good job, great wife, and am an active person. However, I want to do something more fulfilling, but don't know where to start.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Any personal stories or experiences would be great to hear as well.
4 AnswersPhilosophy8 years agoWho thinks there's more to the Manti T'eo story than he's letting on and what do you think it is?
It's almost as if he and his advisers are covering up something really embarrassing or really illegal.
Personally, I think there were things said by him that were captured on tape that would be very damaging to someone who hopes to secure a spot in the NFL.
4 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoWhat bands did you used to like, but just cannot listen to anymore?
For me it is Rush and Led Zeppelin.
They're incredible bands and have timeless music... but I had two friends, one only listened to Rush and the other only listened to Led Zep. They ran both bands into the ground for me.
12 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhy doesn't Ohio State try to get Pat Shurmur to replace Urban Meyer?
Ohio State fans LOVE the Cleveland Browns. So it stands to reason that the coach of the Cleveland Browns is better than the coach of Ohio State. Shurmur has NFL experience and can get the players to come to OSU who want to go to the next level.
7 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoIf I pay off the principal amount on a balloon mortgage early, what happens?
For example, if I borrow $10,000 on a 15 year term, and pay off the $10,000 principal in five years, is the loan considered paid off in full, or do I still owe $10,000?
One banker told me one thing, and one banker told me another... at the same bank.
