If you get married in Mexico, is it recognized as a marriage in the US?

    If you are married, you are married.

    Doesn't matter where the ceremony was.

    Provided that the marriage is legal in the US, it will be recognized here. If, for instance, you were married to someone in Brazil and then married someone else in Mexico without a divorce, your marriage would not be recognized.

    YEs it is because of the marriage license and it is good here to. SO get a divorce before you come back and it's cheaper there, too

    No, the US only recognizes marriages that took place in the US
