I know for sure you can bring in 2 pets. I do not know about the ferrets...dogs and cats are no problem. You need to contact the nearest Mexican consulate and ask about the ferrets. I presume you are planning to drive. so...while you are at the consulate ask about getting your car permit there too...easier and faster than getting it when you cross the border. You will need a vet exam and international health certificate for each animal, issued within 72 hrs of crossing the border, also a very recent rabies shot and a complete shot record. Your vet should know how to document this stuff for you. see 1st 2 websites below. See 3rd site for car permit info. see 4th website for list of Mexican consulates.

while you're shifting right here for a 300 and sixty 5 days or 2, you will want a visa. Ask with reference to the rabbit on the Mexican consulate once you stick to for a visa. i understand you ought to have contemporary vet well being certificates and shot records to hold a canine into Mexico, so i'm confident you will wish the comparable for a rabbit.

My wife and I have traveled twice to Mexico and back with two cats. All you need is a health certificate from your vet that's less than 10 days old to say that your pets are healthy and up to date with vaccinations.

As for airline travel, I know it was one pet per person, if you want your animals in the cabin with you. But fewer and fewer airlines are allowing that these days. Continental is good with pets. They even have a good program for pets in cargo.

All I can tell you is that it was pretty easy with two people and two cats, and you can bring them back - I don't know what that other dude was talking about.

    Good luck.

You need international health certificates for the cats. Leave your ferrets with friends or at a local shelter, they won't last here if they get outside.
